Last Call for Pranayama Training – Listen to Chapter One

Pranayama has become one of the most misunderstood parts of modern yoga, and that’s exactly why I created this training. With just a few days left before enrollment closes, I wanted to give you a glimpse inside the updated Pranayama Teacher Training by reading portions of Chapter 1 from the new training manual. This program was designed to help yoga teachers and students move beyond simply “doing breathing exercises” and develop a deeper understanding of the role breath plays in yoga, practice, and life.

In this episode, I explore why pranayama is often overlooked in modern yoga education, the difference between prana and pranayama, and the foundational principles that make breathwork meaningful and effective. I also share how classical yoga understood the purpose of pranayama, why the teacher-student relationship matters, and how asana and pranayama work together as part of a complete yoga practice.

If you’ve been curious about deepening your relationship with the breath, this episode offers a preview of the depth, structure, and philosophy that shape my Pranayama Teacher Training.
