If you teach yoga, chances are you teach yoga asana aka the physical practice of yoga. Yoga sequencing or asana sequencing is a challenge every yoga teacher faces at some point in their yoga journey. Especially if you’ve “vinyasa”-ed your way through your physical practice, this can be harder to grasp.
Asana sequencing or yoga sequencing or class planning is a complex but fascinating aspect of the physical practice. Through how you arrange, organize and layer your yoga poses, you can effectively move your yoga student ahead in their practice.
But many if not most yoga teachers struggle because they’ve not learned, or understood sequencing as a whole. This is harder if you’ve only done vinyasa yoga and not worked with props & teachers who intelligently sequence poses to the peak.
Over the years, I’ve self-taught my way to sequencing in many ways. In this episode, I share the 7 step process that has worked for me for a decade without fail when it comes to asana sequencing. I’m sharing these with you, with examples and more in the hopes that you will be able to understand and enjoy yoga sequencing a lot more.
If you teach asana in any capacity, this episode is a must listen.
