Understanding the Gunas in Ayurveda

If you’re currently enjoying the benefits of yoga to your body and mind, I suggest that you dig deeper into the wonders of the Gunas. These come from Yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda. Which essentially means the science of life.

In life, there’s a natural balance between polarities. Once you understand this, you open yourself to experience the fullness of our existence as human beings. But how do you maintain a healthy balance to ultimately achieve the most ideal state of your body and mind?

On the show this week, I invited Myra Lewin to talk about the three primary qualities of the Gunas. She’s an Ayurveda practitioner, a master yoga teacher, an author, and a host of two podcasts Everyday Ayurveda Yoga and Healing at Halepule, and Spark Your Intuition.

In this episode, she shares a lot of priceless insights about the Gunas and how we can be able to recognize and understand each of its primary qualities. She also explains how our emotions can play a very significant role in creating and maintaining a natural balance in our lives. I hope you’re excited because I am!
